Job SummaryThis production underwriting position is responsible for underwriting and selling medium:to:large WC risks through high profile agency partners. Qualified candidates will have advanced WC underwriting skills and be a sales:orientated insurance professional who thrives in a fast:paced, high energy business environment. Through a structured training program, the Account Executive learns Travelers underwriting philosophy, product, appetite and processes. Key success factors include; account pre:qualification, risk analysis, information validation, classification, pricing adequacy, thought process documentation, collaboration, negotiation, and making the sale. This Account Executive role may include mentoring and coaching less experienced underwriters on more complex accounts, referral underwriting, and becoming the subject matter expert on emerging issues and complex classes/coverages.

A current/valid driver's license is required. Must be able to demonstrate or provide examples of strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively in front of others. Must be able to demonstrate ability to think analytically about business problems and propose solutions.
