Job Description: Title: Estimator (not manager Location: Colorado Springs Office Status: Full Time Anticipated Start: Immediately Project Cost Estimator - Works with AM***s and Owners to develop Rough Order of Magnitude pricing. - Posts drawing on ISQFT to advertise to subcontractors. - Cultivates subcontractors in new and existing areas to enhance the sub base. - Coordinates with subcontractors to identify scope gaps and provide guidance on scope of work to bid. - Works with our in house marketing and design management departments on design build projects to coordinate the project scope and RFP requirements. - Provide guidance to design teams of cost of building systems. Decides with design team which building systems will be used on design build projects. - Performs a full project quantity take off and fills out the bid sheet with in house estimates. - Authors questions on scope of work to be answered by the owner. - Works with design and construction team to identify a project execution strategy. - Scopes subcontractor pricing and performs comparative analysis of the bids. - Advises on subcontractor teaming on projects. - Provides a project turn over manual on awarded projects. - Follow projects thought the buyout phase and provide pricing guidance to Project Managers. - Follow projects through the design build process to carefully control cost and scope Degree preferred but not required. MUST have 7-10 years federal COE bid/estimating experience. MUST have bid/estimating experience of projects in the $20 *** $30 million dollar range.
