Title: Accounting Assistant- Accounts Payable (Catholic Health Initiatives Foundation) Location: CO-Colorado Springs Summary: Process all check requests for accounts payable. Responsible for the accurate and timely disbursement of all approved funds for operating expenses and program support. Takes initiative to resolve issues and concerns and exhibits good decision making skills.This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities: * Perform analysis of accounts in a timely and accurate manner. * Process Invoices for Payment on the Blackbaud A/P System * Sort incoming mail and obtain proper documentation for invoice processing. * Ensure appropriate authorization and backup accompanies the check request and/or invoice. * Ensure all invoices to be processed for payment are original documents, unless there are mitigating circumstances and the Controller has approved the document for payment. * Utilize the Blackbaud accounts payable system to process all approved invoices and check requests. * Maintain Effective Business Relationships with Vendors and Other Departments * Reconcile monthly statements, if applicable, and research any problem invoices according to parameters defined in the policies and procedures. * Maintain xxxx vendors and prepares xxxxs at year end. * Prepare Checks for Distribution * Provide Accounting Support for the Finance Staff * Perform other accounting support as requested by the Finance staff. * Responsible for receiving, coding, and depositing all non-gift income. * Prepare the monthly summary of non-gift income and gives to the general ledger accountant for posting. * Monitor the preparation of the daily time allocation worksheets for all employees of CHI Foundation for accuracy and timeliness. * Receive and prepare all deposits on a daily basis. * Prepare a copy of all deposits and gives to the gift processors.
