Quality Assurance Technician, Colorado Springs (2nd Shift) - Bal Seal Engineering, Inc (Colorado in Colorado Springs, Colorado For Sale

Position Summary: This position exists to coordinate receiving inspection, RMA processing, DMR processing, final inspection certification process, support for QA inspectors, support for 1st article inspection, and support for AQL inspection. Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado Duties / Responsibilities: • Coordinates general receiving inspection functions, matches paperwork (such as receiving certifications) with purchase orders, engineering drawings, material specifications, etc. • Assists in the coordination of outside processing requirements for in-process material such as passivation and testing. • Tests verifications of mechanical properties (tensile, elongations, density, etc.), chemical properties, and measures materials versus specifications and engineering drawings using gages and measuring devices. • Reviews purchase orders for mandatory requirements to assure the certification and/or test results comply. • Manages the inspection flow of raw materials and in-process materials based on priority and maintains and updates associated records. • Backs-up and/or performs final inspection certification process and in-process AQL inspections. • Occasionally, the incumbent will be asked and expected to perform various, miscellaneous, and non-standard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company. Skills: • Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), intermediate level. • Good verbal and written skills. • Ability to speak, read, and write in English. • Ability to use gages such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, microscopes, force testers, and other measuring devices and gages. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Understanding of basic QA system, documentations, and ISO xxxx requirements • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and interpret numbers and decimals to 1/10,000 of an inch in US units. Ability to interpret metric units and convert to US units. • Accurately enter data into a computer by use of keyboard and mouse. • Basic understanding of SPC Requirements: Bal Seal Engineering is an ITAR compliant company.
